02/02/2022 - Cotic Cascade Launched

The Cotic Cascade is our brand new drop bar adventurer. We designed it to have the fewest compromises so you can go the furthest. It drops neatly into that space between our super capable SolarisMAX hardtail mountain bike and our road/gravel Escapade. Cascade surfs around the grey area between tarmac and trail with the kind of progressive, confident handling you would expect from Cotic. If you’ve ridden, pushed and sweated your bike to the top of a mountain, you’re going to want to be able to ride down the other side.

Cascade has a chameleon character born of it’s ability to wear all sorts of build options. From stripped down desert racer with carbon rigid forks, through overlander with our bespoke steel fork and custom fit luggage, to drop bar mountain bike with 100mm suspension forks and a dropper, and any combination of the above. It wears any of these build with panache, and it is just as comfortable travelling for days through wide open spaces as it is snicking down your favourite local singletrack for a quick hour blast.

We have been working on this bike for over 3 years, and have been through a load of interesting and "interesting" hacks and prototypes to get it right. Rich has been the driving force behind the project, and both his and Cy's thought's on the bike - plus a load of frankenbike prototype pictures - are in the development story.

Ultimately, we’re coming at “gravel" from the MTB side, so when we get to a downhill we want the option to drop the seat, drop our heels, and crack on. The Cascade allows you to do that. It’s the off road connoisseurs drop bar bicycle.
